Since 1994, our speech therapy clinic has diagnosed and treated a wide range of speech related disorders to a variety of age groups. Our speech therapist provides comprehensive evaluations to determine the specific needs of each patient, and work to find all aspects that contribute to developmental or motor speech disorders. By focusing on areas of oral motor function, language skills, and communication we can build the foundation for success for all our patients.

Treatments can be given in Papiamentu, Dutch, English, or Spanish (Speech therapy does not include the teaching of a second language).

MARIELLE
DA COSTA GOMEZ
With over 25 years of experience as a speech therapist, in a variety of settings and age groups, Marielle has established a high standard for quality care. Keeping up with her continuing education requirements, she has specialized in sensory integration, autism spectrum, and, eat-drink-swallow disorders.
With her wide range of experience, she has also focused on voice, articulation disorders and neurologic dysfunctions. She provides a peaceful and supportive environment for her patients and their families. Through ease and consistency Marielle continues to add new therapies to provide the most innovative and individualized treatments to provide steady success.
ZJANTHI
TRAPENBERG-JOHANNES
After completing her studies in 2010, as a speech therapist at the Fontys Hogeschool in Eindhoven, Zjanthi transitioned to Curacao and joined Marielle at Logopedie Praktijk Fonolex. She has worked in various schools in the Netherlands and private practices over the past 4 years. Zjanthi’s passion is working with children and their families, specifically with special needs, to promote effective and meaningful communication.
ILSELY VAN DER WERF
Speech therapy assistant
Our treatment design encourages 1 to 3 sessions a week depending on our treatment plan. A physical activity treatment plan is provided for at home support, which includes strengthening exercises for motor and auditory development. At home assistant support.
One of our trained staff members will assist with at-home exercise plans to encourage faster results in accordance with our treatment plan. Family education, support, and training.
